2017 Scouting LEGO® Competition
I've been a Scout here on the Isle of Wight since 2017, well actually I was a Cub then...
Anyway, in December 2017 my friend Nigel Young who owns the Sports and Model Shops in Shanklin and Ryde gave me two LEGO® kits to offer as prizes so that I could organise a Scouting LEGO® competion. Here are the entries I received......
Charlie
The first two photos were of models made by Charlie. First a self portrait of him - he's a Beaver.
He also made a Scout den.
Elliott
Elliott sent a couple of photos of a model campsite he made
Chopping wood, cooking fish on a campfire and drinking coffee. Very realistic
Imogen
Imogen made a model of her friends round a campfire.
She also made a model of her and a friend sitting outside their tent.
Jaden
Jaden sent in a photo of her campsite, with a tent on the left and a raft on the pond on the right
William
William made a model of a huge tent with him and his friends sitting round a campfire outside.
The Winners
William won the prize for the best model made by a Beaver. Nigel Young made the presentation to him at Sandown Scout Christmas Fair.
Elliot won the prize for the best model made by a Cub or Scout. Nigel presented Elliott with his prize in his Shanklin Shop. Our timing was great - Nigel had a friend, Toby Toymaster visiting. Sid and GIJoe are standing on Elliott's prize.
Extras
Just a few weeks after the competition I received these photos from a Scout from 2nd Ryde who had made a model of an archeological dig which his Scout patrol were helping to work on.
