Corf Campsite Open Day 2017
Open Day at Corf Campsite is always fun for us. V, James and Paul tried out the Wibbly-Wobbly-Bikes.
Camp Warden Barrie thought I was a bit too small to move his mini-tractor. He said I probably couldn't reach the pedals........
Barrie has a team of supporters who have 'time on their hands' and help out with a bit of campsite maintenance in return for a cuppa and a chat. He told me he is supporting an organisation called Men In Sheds. Their model shed makes a great climbing frame!
In fact we had shed-loads of visitors: Scouts, Parents, possible Scouts, members of the public....hundreds of them! I impressed some of them with my impression of a hat!
Mandy and Geoff issued the tickets for the main activities including Archery, Shooting and Kayaking. I asked if I could have a ticket for archery, but Mandy said I was probably too small to hold a ticket, never mind a bow.
(sigh!) I suppose so.....
And I was too small to have a go at Kayaking on the creek.
And V said no, I could not show her my impression of a hat - she laughed and said I'd never be found again in her fluffy hair! And anyway she was busy updating the county Twitter feed.
Open day was great - Hundreds of visitors, some new recruits (adults and young people) and great fun for everyone who came or organised.
