Revolution 2019

Revolution 2019

At the Easter Isle of Wight Revolution camp for Network and Explorer Scouts GIJoe and Colin helped MaC organise a Skateboarding base in West Wight sports centre.

Our friend John Cattle runs WightTrash skateboarding shop.

John has helped setup Skateboard parks across the Island and he spends a lot of time helping Island kids learn to use their Skateboards. You can find out more about John's work with kids and boards, at http://www.wight-trash.com .

John was pleased to come along and help our Revolutionaries improve their skateboarding skills.

John lined up all the Scouts against one wall ready to start.

Colin and GIJoe are pretty good on Skateboards and soon had found a Scout who admired their style.

Of course they started off across the hall before everyone else.

At the end of the session when everyone else was packing up they were still going backwards and forwards across the hall.

Then it was time for a team photo

We also took a PR photo for John

While Colin and GIJoe were having fun MaC's wife Julie was busy baking a massive cake over 1m long to celebrate the 25th Revo. The theme for the camp was "Through the Looking Glass", so the cake was covered in edible Alice in Wonderland images.

The cake was so big that Colin and GIJoe had fun Skateboarding around it.

With all 25 candles lit, Tim and Graham had the job of carrying the cake into the mess tent and cutting it into over 300 pieces.
