We went to the Hampton Court Flower Show

Sid and Jade went to St Albans , north of London, for a couple of days holiday with MaC and some friends. On the third day they headed towards home, but on the way they stopped off at the Hampton Court Flower Show.

It was the hottest day of the year and a lot of flowers were suffering in the heat, as were Jade and Sid. 

Sid wondered if anyone would notice if he popped into the lily pond for a swim.

The show has show gardens.....

 

.... shops....

.... and quirky features.

But what Sid wanted to see was in the main tent.

One of the exhibits was insect-eating plants - and they had some LEGO® models.

Some carnivorous plants have big tubes where the insects crawl to the bottom of the tube.

Sid was not sure about the colour of this plant!

There were also some LEGO® Venus Fly Traps.

Sid felt quite safe in these Venus Fly Traps.

And that was it! 3 days exploring some great places around outer London.
