We went to the Harry Potter Experience
Sid and Jade went to St Albans , north of London, for a couple of days holiday with MaC and some friends.
Why St Albans? Well St Albans is where our great Scouting friend, Isle of Wight Festival promoter John Giddings came from, and 'cos it's near some very special places. On the first day we went to the Harry Potter Experience.
We started our tour in the Great Hall, which was, well, GREAT!
But there were lots of other places and things from the films to see.
Sid's favourite was the Hogwarts Express.
Although the ticket collector wasn't very impressed with Sid's mini-Oyster card for travel on London Transport.
Jade and Sid agreed that the train seats were not very comfortable.
Some of the exhibits were just fantastic...
Some were frustrating - 'cos everything was movie props.......
..... not a single piece of chocolate cake to eat.
Jade liked the wigs.
They both liked Professor Dumbledore's study
There were so many props from the films to see.
Sid wondered if he could light a real fire under the cauldron.
The Knight Bus is BIG ......
But then again, so was this....
And the Butterbeer Ice Cream was......... interesting!
Why is it that we can't go anywhere without finding people who either like LEGO® or who are Scouts...... or in this case people who like LEGO® and are Scouts from New Zealand!
Jade and Sid thought the whole place was Champion!
Especially the huge model of Hogwarts. Shame they couldn't climb on it for a closer look!
Tomorrow we're off to Paradise Park.
