We went to Paradise Park

We went to Paradise Park

Sid and Jade went to St Albans , north of London, for a couple of days holiday with MaC and some friends.

Why St Albans? Well St Albans is where our County Scouting Ambassador John Giddings came from, and ‘cos it’s near two very special places. We visited the Harry Potter Experience yesterday and today we're at Paradise Park.

Compare me with what?  (If you don't know, this is a Meerkat - and he doesn't know Sergi!).

You can't compare any animal with these little sweeties......

...Jade thinks that Red Pandas rate 11 out of 10 on the cuteness scale....

....and I think they know it!

You can even have an 'up close and personal' experience feeding them fruit and bamboo shoots.

Sid liked the baby otters.

Sid tried to convince Jade that their real name is kettles - well they are water 'otters...........

Next door to the animal park is a Dinosaur park with animatronic figures.

Groups (of cubs?) can spend an afternoon learning about the animals, then an evening in the dark, wandering round the dinosaurs with torches, listening to them roaring! The next morning you can see the animals have breakfast!

Next door again is a motorbike museum....

...this Union Jack seat is brilliant. "Cooeee - I'm down here!"

"Here!"

That evening we found a local delicacy: beefburger with Camembert cheese and apple chutney. We always make burgers like this at home now.

Tomorrow we'll go home, but we'll stop off on the way and see some special LEGO® models at the Hampton Court Flower Show.
