Sid's Soapbox Race
Sid, Jade and Mini-MaC were watching the Red Bull Soapbox racing on TV the other Sid asked Mini-MaC if he could organise a Soapbox race for him and his friends.
Mini-MaC told them to get into teams of 2 or 3 and make their soapboxes.
Sid, Jade and GIJoe found some wings and decided to make a lightweight plane.
Joe found a jet engine to put on the back.
Sid thought the back wings would be a good place to push.
Chris, Sally and Owly wanted a Flower Power car.
Jimmy, Timmy and Edgar wanted to build a monster truck.
It was so high that they had to get Mini-MaC and his tractor to help build it.
Especially to help with the huge spoiler on the back.
Bob and Aggie found a couple of motor bikes and joined them together.
Everybody lined their soapboxes cars up. Becca lined up too, on her skateboard, holding her camera.
Mini-MaC started the race.
Sid's team were off to an early start but Bob and Aggie couldn't get their bikes to start.
And the monster truck was.....stuck.
GIJoe tripped over, giving chance to catch up.
The monster truck and bikes were still back at the start line.
Finally Bob and Aggie got their bikes started and soon caught up with the others.
And the monster truck was on the move.
The soapboxes were evenly matched.... well, apart from the monster truck which was still well behind.
Timmy was pushing the back pillar and Jimmy was pushing the front one, but it was too heavy for them.
Jimmy tripped over and the monster truck went straight over him.
Jimmy tried pushing the back pillar with Timmy but the truck then became unstable and tipped over.
On top of Jimmy and Timmy.
Meanwhile, Bob and Aggie were in the lead, closely followed by Sid's team
And that was the final result. Or was it?
Sorry, laughed Mini-MaC, Bob and Aggie are disqualified for using engines.
That makes Sid's team the winners.
However...... I think the real winner is the person who was fastest along the course, and that was Becca on her skateboard. Everybody cheered.
All that was left was for Mini-MaC and Becca to put all the pieces back into the box.
