Fishermans Knot
We started our knot tying with a reef knot. 'A reef knot is used to tie 2 ropes together" said GIJoe. "But I know another one - a Fisherman's Knot'.
'So first you make an overhand loop in one rope.'
'Then you pass the second working end through the first loop'.
Then tie another loop and pass the working end through the new loop.
This makes two loops.
Then pull the ends and make the two loops tight
Then pull the 2 knots together.
Job done!
Skip told us about the Fisherman's Knot.
'The Fisherman's knot is usually tied in very thin fishing line.'
'You can't tie a reef knot in fishing line as the knot slips on the line.'
