Hi Everyone! Welcome to Sid's Media Team page.... OK, let's be honest.... welcome to MaC and My Scout Media page, with IT help from Becca and Jade!
We've created a reference to help Scouts with PR, Recruiting, reporting interviewing and, well, anything to do with Scouts Media. The training was originally a set of Powerpoint presentations created by MaC and used to train members of the Isle of Wight Scouts' "Wight Rovers Media Team", as supported by the Isle of Wight Festival.
The presentations are based around the 2018 major rebranding of the UK Scout Movement. The Scout Association issued aver 100 pages of notes on the new brand, and if you are planning some serious design projects then you might like to visit the Scout Branding Centre (click here). But for simple projects there's plenty of information in our presentations.
We've reworked the Powerpoint presentations into Sid-friendly (much smaller) ".pdf" versions: you can download your own copy here to help with badgework. Always check for a new version of a file before you use your own stored copy.
Although all of the Media training presentations can be used by Scouts of all ages, part 1 is aimed specifically at younger Scouts (Beavers and Cubs) and is an outline on our Branding, sufficient to allow readers to design a poster for recruitment or to publicise an event.
